Covered in this session

Understand the interplay between pragmatism and risk when addressing GMP equalisation, plus how reconciliation and rectification projects interact with and provide the foundation for GMP equalisation benefit adjustments.

The great response to our previous webinar on GMP equalisation  earlier in the year has prompted us to revisit how pension schemes are progressing their GMP equalisation projects in practice. This webinar will follow a similar format to the last, with Buck and guest speakers having a free-flowing and lively discussion about recent GMP equalisation developments, as well as their real-life experiences of helping clients navigate the decisions required to actively push GMP equalisation exercises forward.

Key points covered will include:

  • Examining the common GMP equalisation themes and concerns raised by participants during our previous webinar, as well as subsequent developments and the issues that we are currently helping our clients address in practice
  • Understanding the interplay between pragmatism and risk when addressing GMP equalisation – striking the right balance for your scheme
  • How GMP reconciliation and rectification projects interact with and provide the foundation for GMP equalisation benefit adjustments

Speakers

Kirsty Bartlett, Partner (Squire Patton Boggs)

Glyn Ryland, Director (Trustee Corporation)

Mark Williams, Principal and Head of London Retirement (Buck)
