DE&I: Supporting women in the workplace

Research shows that supporting gender diversity and women in the workplace is key to not only employee engagement and retention, but can have a positive impact on companies' financial performance too. To realise this, companies are looking for benefit solutions, improved policies, and support in creating an inclusive culture with increased flexibility, understanding, and opportunity.

Agenda

Hot topics in women's health and wellbeing: Amanda Cran will host and introduce this seminar, kicking off the morning by highlighting hot topics in women's health and wellbeing.

Modern Families Index research results: Oliver Daniels will share insights from the most comprehensive study of how working parents manage the balance between work and family life in the U.K., looking at the changing needs people have in a post-pandemic world, and the support they're seeking. There will also be discussion around resources available to employers, to help their employees with their work-life balance.

Gender savings gap: Jill Henderson will explore the gender savings gap, its root causes, and how to best offset it. Taking into account the common challenge of disrupted work patterns across the female workforce, she will also discuss some of the ways that employers can assist women in keeping their retirement savings on track, and avoid a gender savings gap.

Encouraging an inclusive workplace culture: Deborah Garlick will focus on employers' duty of care and anticipated changes to legislation in the women's health sphere, as well as an outline of what employers can do to ensure they have the right culture and policies in place, both to ensure compliance and best support their female staff.

Client experience case study:  Chris Andrew will provide practical tips to inspire engagement and an inclusive culture. This will be followed by an example, demonstrated by Nicolas Calvert at Peppy and Ian Cunning at Shawbrook Bank. They will take the audience through Shawbrook's reasons behind implementing Peppy's healthcare app, as well as how the programme was launched with employees and what the outcomes have been so far.
