As employers move past the immediate impact of COVID-19 and consider longer term business strategies, it's imperative they pay careful attention to compliance obligations that affect workforce planning and benefits programs.

New legislation such as the CARES Act and Family First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), as well as compliance basics, have become even more important given the current environment.

This session will touch on key employment, health, and retirement plan compliance priorities. Our speakers will discuss how the CARES Act and FFCRA impact:

  • Layoffs and furloughs
  • Wage and hour considerations
  • WARN Act
  • Plan fundamentals during a crisis, such as:
    • Mid-year plan changes, including plan documentation, ACA implications, and employee communications
    • HIPAA privacy and security implications
    • COBRA requirements
  • Select retirement plan compliance issues
